Yes, every skin is different and reacts differently to individual cosmetic ingredients. All of our cosmetics are prepared in accordance with the strict European norms and standards of the IFRA, the association that establishes directives for the use of essential oils and aromas. The risk of causing sensitisation is minimal, but not impossible. As both natural essential oils and aromas may contain allergens, we also label our products in compliance with the law.

Bar soap will last longer if it is allowed to dry between uses. Soap dishes with a drain and holes are best.

Soap is made by combining an alkali with an acid. In this mixture, the base is sodium hydroxide and the fatty acids come from natural oils and butters. Combining certain amounts of these ingredients at the right temperature starts the saponification process. This process takes approximately two months. During this time, the soap bar hardens, takes on properties and natural glycerine is also produced.

When creating soap recipes, we leave a few percent of fats unsaponified, which is why the soaps are delicate and care for the skin during washing. Because facial skin is exceptionally delicate, we dedicate our soaps to washing hands and body. If you want to try whether a given soap will be good for facial skin, pay attention to whether the skin is not tight and dry after washing. If not, the soap has proven its worth.
